Tasmin Steer

Tasmin Steer

Head Coach & Programme Director

Tasmin’s coaching career started at Bristol University, where she led the team to become Ultimate Champions – meaning they placed first in the UK!

During her time coaching she has worked with All Star, school and university squads of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced and athletes from ages 3 – 30. She has also cheered on ESPN and choreographed for the Rugby League World Cup!

Her teams have been named:

Ultimate Champions (first place in the UK)!

Grand Champions

4x National Champions

Regional Champions

…and a large percentage of athletes on these teams were completely new to Cheer!

Beyond Cheer coaching, Tasmin is also a highly experienced judge, working at Cheerleading competitions across the UK. She has judged Cheer levels 0 to level 7, Tiny to Masters and all styles of dance. This unique experience feeds directly into her role as Head Coach, as it is invaluable when coaching and choreographing routines at Ultimate Cheer.

She holds her Cheerleading coaching qualifications for Levels 1 – 5 and is also one of only a handful of IASF-certified Safety Judges in the UK.

She is DBS (Enhanced) checked, First Aid certified and holds safeguarding certifications in Child Protection in Education & Safeguarding Young People.

Tasmin’s experience inspired her to create a Cheer team in London. What makes this programme special is that it has a place for everyone, from kids classes to adult-only, providing a place for athletes to progress from any level to the best of their ability.

Isobel started Cheerleading at the University of Durham having grown up in the world of musicals, dance, and acrobatics. She represented the Durham Divas on their All-Girl Level 3 team and supported them as both Dance and Team Captain, before managing the Durham Divas club in her final year as Club Captain. During that time, she is proud to have founded the first Pom and Performance team at Durham. Through this work, she was nominated as Vice President of the Team Durham for the 2017-18 season and won a Half Palatinate award recognising her commitment. She hadn’t had enough of Cheerleading just yet, having joined Loughborough University’s Goldrush All-Girl Level 3 team for a season during her masters before moving to London. Since then, Isobel has competed as part of Ultimate Cheer’s Level 3 team, Wild Card, and Pom Team, Lady Luck. Having spent time working in the US teaching children’s gymnastics and cheerleading, she is thrilled to continue to represent this programme as an athlete and support in a coaching capacity in the 2021-22 season!

Brodie is originally from Australia but has trained and competed across the world in Australia, US, UK & China. In 2018 Brodie ‘retired’ from Cheerleading and moved from Australia to the UK but the love and passion for the sport was too much and in 2020 she has returned to the Cheer world by joining Ultimate Cheer as an athlete for both cheerleading and pom.

Brodie has been choreographing and teaching dance for 10 years and during her time at University she began coaching All-Star cheerleading as well. She has taught a variety of ages and levels from Baby Ballet to Adult Cheer and beginners to seasoned athletes. She loves seeing new athletes develop a love for the sport and build their skills and their confidence throughout the year. She’s tried to retire and just keeps coming back because she loves it too much and is so excited to keep coaching AllStar Cheer.
